Within two weeks, two participants of the project “MechaUz: Modernization of Undergraduate program in Mechatronics and Robotics in Uzbekistan through innovative ideas and digital technology” also three participants of the project “SYNERGY: Building Synergies between Higher Education and Industry in Uzbekistan” successfully completed the training program in Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbSTU).

Guests from the Andijan Machine-Building Institute (AndMI) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, despite their short stay in St. Petersburg, completed a 72-hour refresher course “Modern Management Systems and Information Technologies in Industry and Education” and also managed to visit basic departments, industrial complexes and Higher schools, institutes, scientific laboratories of SPbSTU.

During the visit, the program participants studied modern educational technologies in the field of “Mechatronics and Robotics”, integration between the university and the enterprise, asked questions in the process of dialogue with SPbSTU staff, and conducted negotiations on projects and further cooperation between the universities of AndMBI and SPbSTU. SPbSTU is a strategic partner of AndMBI in projects “MechaUz: Modernization of Undergraduate program in Mechatronics and Robotics in Uzbekistan through innovative ideas and digital technology” and “SYNERGY: Building Synergies between Higher Education and Industry in Uzbekistan”  of the Academic Innovation Fund, funded by the World Bank.

Upon completion of the advanced training, representatives of the AndMBI received certificates and signed memorandums on two projects. The project participants are immensely grateful to the entire team of SPbSTU, especially to the staff of the Institute of Continuing Education headed by O.S.Ipatov. Representatives of AndMBI are hoping for fruitful cooperation in all aspects of science, education and industry with Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
